The Holiday
As far as Christmas chick flicks go this is the one of the more watchable ones. It also features a scene in a Blockbuster video rental store.
The Snow Report
Lots of snow and then no snow so it is a nice balance. Has limited implications on public transport throughout the movie, there is also a thaw mid way through the movie..
Santa Sightings
Alas the big man does not feature in the movie.
Baubles, Lights and Tinsel
Great at times, disappointing at others of course there is cottage in the snow which essentially carries the film in this respect.
Will It Make Me Cry?
Even though one of the main characters is unable to cry I suspect this will make others cry especially as Iris spends the whole movie crying.
Sing Along
Last Christmas is playing at the start which is nice and the score music is very good throughout. A very nice version of have yourself a merry christmas. There is a great joke about background music as well.
Cast Presents
Jack Black is great throughout as is Jude Law but Eli Wallach steals the show. Dustin Hoffman also makes an appearance.
Cool Christmas
This is only the second Christmas movie I know of with a suicide attempt in it and apparently there is only one pub as she know how to find him. Jack Black also sings the theme tune to 'Chariots of Fire'.
